In her testimony, Carroll gave a detailed account of the incident, and how it has affected her life. They ordered him to pay her just over $2m in damages over sexual abuse, and almost $3m over the defamation. They also found that Trump defamed her by claiming that her allegations were a hoax. But they said that she had shown that Trump had sexually abused her, and that she was injured by his conduct.
